Sorry. That looks fine, too (assuming that the file /etc/ldap.secret
exists and that it is indeed "rw-------").
The only immediate difference I see is that my ldap.conf contains
the directive "pam_password crypt".
Other than, that I think you will have to up the debug level on
slapd and start mucking around more in our syslog to see what is
happening.
