I have installed my gentoo on /dev/hdd1 and also compiled the kernel with reiserfs support included. The problem that I have is that I can't boot the kernel because it tells me that it can't mount the hdd1 partition and I should provide a valid root= entry.
I did that but it is just the same, so I wonder how I must configure GRUB so that it is possible to boot a kernel from the second controller.
