If I read the discussion correctly, don't look for much in the way of fixes to 
devfs - there is no current maintainer.  All the effort will go towards udev, 
but I don't read that as promissing anything dramatic any time soon.

Fortunately, I have no problems with devfs, but those who do may be SOL.
