I've got that plus CONFIG_APM_RTC_IS_GMT, CONFIG_APM_CPU_IDLE.   I tried
both possibilities for CONFIG_APM_REAL_MODE_POWER_OFF.

I have the gentoo-sources.  Could that be the problem?
