All, In KDE, when I use a konsole or xterm, the prompt is not what it should be. What I mean is that it is not what is specified in /etc/profile. It is fine when I do an "su - user" from the same konsole and it is fine in non X mode.
I did not check /etc/profile was read but startkde does contain the "--login" fix so it should. Could it be that the TERM variable is not set or set to "dumb" when /etc/profile is read in startkde? Any more ideas? Cheers, Fred -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
