I issued FIXMBR in de recovery console of WINXP, xp still boots ok, but the 1.4RC bootcd still has problems,
are there some other tools to check MBR of correct 'format', my guess is that winXP is doing something 'funny' which is not recognized by the linux scripts. Is there any way I can see an error message? I'm not sure about the syntax of the command, you can check it typing HELP at the prompt.
