I have tried compiling vanilla 2.6.1 kernel and development-sources 2.6.1-rc1 various times now and I always end up with the same problem: my rpppoe adsl connection no longer works.
The logs say: [pppd] ppd 2.4.1 started by root [pppd] using interface ppp0 [pppd] Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/pts/0 (*) [pppd] LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests_ [pppd] Connection terminated. [pppoe] Timeout waiting for PADO packets. [pppd] Exit with working 2.4 kernels I have, where I placed the (*), a message like: PPP session is 14589 and of course the successive messages are missing.
