I'd love to hear what your results are with the Broadcom chip running in 802.11g mode with the linuxant solution. I've been looking for public (or "public") wi-fi in my area of the world that supports 802.11g, but haven't found any. Seems everyone hopped on the public wi-fi bandwagon when 802.11b was the only way to go and now they're behind the technological curve instead of in front of it (including me).
Thanks, Roy
I can't seem to get it configured correctly. I installed driverloader and the windows drivers, and that part of it seems to be working.
I edited /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.4 and took out netsemi, so that driverloader would load the broadcom chip on eth0 and load natsemi on eth1. I installed wireless-tools, and iwlist doesnt detect any AP's.
iwconfig does detect it as 54mbps, however. I'll have to mess with it more in the morning, as I've got to get ready for work here in a few, and I dont have net access at work (unless I figure out someway to get my wlan to extend 3 miles :) )
Am i missing something else I need to configure?
