OK, I got the drives to mount. The issue, after all of this, was that I had
not built the SCSI CD support module which then apparently left the devices
as generic devices.

The devices are both showing up under /dev/cdroms and mounting OK. I'm doing
a dvdbackup on Broken Arrow right now as a test.

The only problem I still have to solve is the drives are not recognized at
boot time. I have to su, do cdrecord -scanbus, and then I can use them.

Any ideas about how to solve this?

Anyway, thanks to everyone who helped get me this far. You guys share so
much!

Cheers,
Mark
