Collins, You mean jump to a 2.6 kernel? I'm just not quite ready to do that yet. My Linux boxes are used for audio recording work. The 2.6 kernel is not yet fully debugged for low-latency work. (See some of todays posts on Linux-Audio-User.) One of these days soon I'm sure everything will be ready and then your idea would make lots of sense to me. Just not quite yet...
