My one learning that I have not see mentioned is that after you compile the kernel, you do this: cd /usr/src/linux (or wherever your 2.6 kernel is) depmod -e -F System.map The first time, it will complain that a directory doesn't exist. Create it. The second time, it creates the module dependencies. After that, I get a lot less module dependency error messages. - -- "The choices we make dictate the life we lead.
