Hi, I've just discovered a directory /usr/portage/packages occupying more than 1G of my disk. It seems that this is generated due to the buildpkg feature in make.conf, which is on by default. My question is, what do I gain from it? It seems like an option that is useful mainly for packagers, is it safe to remove it?
