I have a dell with a radeon M9. This is a known problem with the xfree radeon drivers on the latest xorg. You need to go back to 6.7.0-r3 for a stable one that works. The masked 6.8.0-r4 has apparently got the fix as well, but there are many other changes with this one causing probs when I last looked some weeks back. Apparently the fix involves issueing a reset to the videocard on resume which needs a patch.
I have always been able to suspend to ram - just works! bios and apm I think (ACPI doesnt work work well on a i8200) rather than the kernel. Its suspend to disk that I have never been able to get to work :( BillK On Fri, 2005-01-14 at 16:12 +0200, Tomi Kallio wrote: > Hello. > > I'm running gentoo on Compaq Evo N800V laptop with radeon M7.
