You wouldn't want to overwrite the gcc on those systems because it might break things, you'd probably want to relocate the gcc build to isolate it from the working versions. And the distcc build on those systems would need to be reworked to target the localized gcc...
My plan is to install it somewhere in /opt/gentoo/gcc, bind distccd to special "gentoo" port, set PATH in daemon environment to point to /opt/gentoo/gcc/bin.
