i guess :

/usr/src/linux $ grep -i bt8 .config
CONFIG_VIDEO_BT848=m
CONFIG_SND_BT87X=m
# CONFIG_SND_BT87X_OVERCLOCK is not set

and about the use of these modules :

/usr/src/linux $ lsmod | grep -i bt8
snd_bt87x              10436  3
snd_pcm                84360  4
snd_pcm_oss,snd_bt87x,snd_ens1371,snd_ac97_codec
snd_page_alloc          7492  2 snd_bt87x,snd_pcm
snd                    46308  15
snd_pcm_oss,snd_seq_oss,snd_seq,snd_bt87x,snd_ens1371,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq_device,snd_ac97_codec,snd_pcm,snd_timer,snd_mixer_oss

i can't explain to myself why, but i feel it's gonna be a shameful small
detail that i forgot. but where could it hide ?
