It is possible to run into problems, when emerging interdependent packages, but it is unusual and unlikely to cause real problems. It happened to me once, during a KDE update. While kdebase was merging, I had different versions of kdelibs and kdebase, which resulted in my being unable to run Konqueror. I got by with Firefox and gentoo until kdebase had merged, and always keep a spare Konqueror window open during KDE updates now. -- Neil Bothwick Press any key to continue or any other key to quit
