Thanks .. good to know.  I guess gentoo-webroot-default doesn't get
installed as a dependancy to apache eh?  So if I never install it
there would be no problem either?

Not sure I understand the wisdom of a package possibly overwriting my
own web content.... So an update would what...? blow my index.html
away and install a default one?
