For ~ $460 (�230) I've just picked up an IBM Thinkpad X21 laptop from eBay w/40Gb and 256 RAM (could have got it cheaper probably, it was on a 'buy it now'). It's probably the best purchase I've ever made.. even though I've got a RAIDed Athlon 3000 XP (bit dated now, lol, roll on 64bit!), it's so god damn portable, and aesthetically pleasing, that I've began to use it more and more as my workhorse and the Athlon as my 'plaything' and games rig (all Gentoo of course!).
