Richard, Thanks for posting all the details. Too bad but on my server (news.gmane.org) it appears that your post got caught up in some kind of mail loop and appears about 20 times... each one a little longer (due to more headers no doubt). I've still not gotten the framebuffer stuff to work. I've posted all the details already though and I guess nobody has anymore advice for me. I just went ahead and dumped grub in favor of lilo where at least I'm able to get the resoluion adjusted on the final console. (Can't get the fb with lilo either.... in either conf, it all appears as if it would work, but does not. I'm probably blindly overlooking something, because I know there are lots of people who have configured the frame buffer to work. -- [email protected] mailing list
