It happened to me recently as well so I'll explain you the problem and solution.
First check if you have "cookies" set to : - Allow site to set cookies - ask me every time so you keep collecting the cookies; it appears to me that Firefox has some kind of limit as to number of cookies it can accept (it is a bug to me). I was collecting them till at one point in time I couldn't log-in into my bank.
