sdd is e.g. in ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/schily/ sdd is the oldest free "dd" reimplementation and it introduced intermediate statistics with signals from TTY in 1984 already (this is what *BSD now offers with ^T). > If it is significantly faster than dd/dcfldd, then sdd may be the magic > bullet!
