I'm trying to reproduce the bug using radeon and DRM stuff built as a module instead. Did you enabled power management too with the following: # echo '(low|mid|high)' > /sys/class/drm/card0/device/power_profile For me, as soon as I enable this, the system hangs randomly (meaning it can hangs right after enabling the feature or several hours later). > Maybe that works for you too.
