Yes, I'm convinced that it doesn't do such reckless stuff unless told
to. This was an example of what may be a sensible behaviour rendered
useless for lack of proper documentation.  Users shouldn't have to
guess what a report means. A one-line "description" is not a
description, it's a slogan.

(And perldoc allows to make a man page without much trouble...)
