Since pulseaudio appeared, sound in firefox become just a nightmare. Each time I upgrade the package compiling from sources, I don't know what will be broken after that.

Sinceresly, pulseaudio should be dropped from gentoo... dropped far far far far far far away, and if you could, even far since it's the source of a lot of headaches.
