When emerging an app portage checks it's md5sum, so even a minor diff will cause an exit. You need the same version/file or if you are confident in it's origin do: ebuild /usr/local/portage/media-video/realplayer-Version-goes-here digest then "emerge realplayer" Won't recommend this even more with such binary package (as here).
