sorry, in my haste I forgot to mention that, yes I have it installed and
started (before I logged into kde).

hmm, I have linux-2.6.15-r5 (suspend2); hal 0.5.5.1-r3; dbus 0.60-r4;
and ivman I've never heard of!! What do I need it for?
Do you see any problems with these versions?
