I mentioned that because it is the one thing I remembered might affect
VT behaviour in X. I don't use xorg-7 personally, so I can't
verify/test.
Perhaps, once Gmane comes back up, you can search the list archives. I
remember there being two threads in the past 3 or 4 months on the
similar VT problem. Perhaps there were more insight in some of them.
