Hrm... env-update && source /etc/profile didn't seem to do the trick. Actually, I still can't call the compiler by hand when I do this (I can if I set the PATH variable to include the things from binutils, but that doesn't seem to help portage.) How do I change the PATH that portage is using? It doesn't *seem* to be using the same path as my user (root).
