VMware player will no longer start for me. I've been using it for a long time,
and the emerge log shows no activity for the last few weeks.
Suddenly, it complains that it's not configured. I have run
/opt/vmware/bin/vmware-config.pl as root
I have
emerge --oneshot vmware-modules
both apparently successfully.
My attempt to
/etc/init.d/vmware start
fails and suggests both of the above measures.
This is pretty serious for me. Any suggestions?
