Additional info: The output of "equery files vmware-modules" shows modules in /lib/modules/2.6.18-gentoo-r2-kosmanor/misc but I'm actually booted into the "r4" kernel. This in spite of the fact that I was running this kernel when I re-emerged them about an hour ago. How do I get them to install in the right place? For now, I'm gonna just copy them. Wish me luck.
