Only if you emerge with FEATURES="keepwork", otherwise emerge clears out the temporary files after completing an emerge and before starting a new one. another reason for using /var/tmp is that /tmp is often too small, especially if using tmpfs. -- Neil Bothwick Despite the cost of living, have you noticed how it remains so popular?
