Well, you know better than I do Bo. All I'm saying is that for this problem I was not required to rebuild gvv for the 4th time in 3 days. I could always use the stable version and then delete gcc from the list of things to build. That would work also. However both ways leave a dummy like me not knowing if my machine is correctly configured and rebuilding gcc over and over again uses so much time and system power that it gets in the way of really using the machine.
