Skyhook uses at least AP macs, there is no documentation so hard to say
anything else. Plazes was/is "free-for-all" database so it might contain
anything but their api docs clearly talk about "gateway mac address" so
current geoclue implementation is broken in my opinion, as it uses the
AP mac address. The gateway mac doesn't seem to be available via NM at
least.
At least I read some info about Plazes using the router MAC. I've
provided also some patches to use the router MAC instead the AP one.
Connman has support for the getting the router MAC.
Ah thanks for that, now I looked in the right place and finally
understand Bastiens "ip neigh show" comment. I'll test this and modify
plazes to use gateway mac address based on the Plazes API docs --
localnet already does so.
