A couple of points: 1) It's a massive leap forward to get a major Environmental NGO to adopt a measured resolution on geoeng - just look at the nonsense coming out of the ETC group, for example 2) I made it clear from the start that it's FoE England Wales and Northern Ireland that have adopted this. FoE International takes a stronger line at present, as I understand. 3) I agree that delay is a luxury we can ill afford. However, my objective was to get FoE to take a moderate, reasoned and scientific stance. I hope that they will do that. Even if some on this list may not agree with their eventual stance and their assessment of urgency, the stance they take is likely to be much more moderate than other organisations.
