Folks, The level of signal to noise is getting so low on the < [email protected]> email group that we require a major revision for next year.
*So, <[email protected]> will become the place to post wide ranging comments on a variety of issues. The main criteria for permitting a post will be: (1) not spam and (2) not an ad hominem remark. * *Posts to <[email protected]> will need to either be a new piece of information, or represent an informed question or perspective related to climate intervention. Replies to comments in a specific thread will need to be on topic for that thread. * Somebody sent me an email recently saying: *..."it only takes a few grains of sand to destroy a bearing". ... Some people have no inner moderation-- it has to be provided for them.* This will make enemies of some very vocal people. So be it. Best, Ken PS. I will try to see if we can set up some mechanism to forward rejected well-intentioned emails to <[email protected]>. ___________________________________________________ Ken Caldeira Carnegie Institution Dept of Global Ecology 260 Panama Street, Stanford, CA 94305 USA [email protected]; [email protected] http://dge.stanford.edu/DGE/CIWDGE/labs/caldeiralab +1 650 704 7212; fax: +1 650 462 5968 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "geoengineering" group.
