What kinds of institutional support exist for geoengineering research and possible deployment? To what extent (if any) have UNFCCC, IPCC, or other bodies set up institutional machinery to address the geoengineering option? I am familiar with a handful of small national programs, but am unaware of any broader efforts to bring geoengineering under global governance structures.
