I'm posting from iugg , where I've just seen David Mitchell and later A
Cirisan

David proposed seeding Cirrus clouds in warm, supersaturated air, as the
resulting ice crystals grow and rain out, drying the air and this preventing
stable Cirrus forming if the air mass cools further. He proposed using
chemical seeding methods, as opposed to the liquid air previously discussed
on this list.  I've copied him in, so hopefully he will reply all with more
info.

This concept is interesting, as it raises the issue of similar seeding
effected by fallout of SRM sulphur particles.

Cirisan  tested SRM considered this seeding of Cirrus and consequential
precipitation triggered by SRM particle fallout and found this offsets about
1 pc of agw in n hem. Useful benefit but not esp useful. Perhaps it could be
leveraged further?
