Regarding CFCs, this is one of the few cases in which modern industrial society heeded the warnings provided by models an as a result avoided disaster. It is amazing how Pat Michaels is able to draw the opposite lesson. Apparently, he thinks that because we avoided disaster, there was no disaster to be avoided.
