Abstract
Kreuter offers a timely analysis of non-strategic framing of Climate
Engineering in the academic discussion. The chapter present the results of
an empirical analysis of a sample of peer-reviewed academic journal
articles from all disciplines. While framing is found to be rare across the
sample, frames appearing in the sample are highly diverse. Furthermore,
Kreuter highlights that many documents present a combination of
counteracting frames which provide a curious tension inside the individual
document. Kreuter concludes the chapter by discussing the roles of
interdisciplinarity and the discussion across various CE approaches for
academic framing of CE.
