The first is a joint hire between Geography and the new Department of International Studies at the Associate level, and then there are three positions entirely within International Studies, two at the Assistant level and one at Full. The Departments of Geography and International Studies invite applications for an Associate Professor with a focus on Europe and the European Union (EU) as part of a series of strategic hires in both departments. Applications from scholars working in the areas of population, economic or urban geography are especially welcome. Candidates should possess familiarity with one or more European cultures and hold the PhD degree. Teaching duties include courses in both departments, but tenure home is in the Department of Geography. Applications received by December 15, 2013 are guaranteed full consideration.
