G'day everyone,
Does anyone know how to make a Geosoft grid file out of this ASCII grid file
then make a map with Latitude and Longitude annotations? The file is GSC's
(Geological Survey of Canada) Mag survey over Canada (Flying Height: 300 ,
Line Spacing 800) in 1984-86.
* Here is the original header:

* Based on the above Info, I drew the following picture for myself:
Central Meridian: -92
Southern and Northern Parallels: 49.00000 77.00000 LAMBERT
Grid Cell Size: 2000.00
-141.00 -10.00

-141.00 ---------------------------- -10.00 -1217
41.00 41.00
-1936 ---------------------------- 2672

I am attaching the first 1000 records of the original file, in case someone
is interested in seeing few more lines of the original file. Sorry everone I
lied; the mail I sent to you this morning, bounced back with this
explanation from Geosoft Security officers in Toronto:
" Mansour, You have probably received a message notifying you that the
message you sent was too large for the list (Samir Ladha and Greg Hollyer:
No, I didn't received any message that the message was too large - My
attachment's size was only 80KB). We have put a message size limitation on
the list in order to protect the resources of our users who may not want to
receive attachments as a result of being on the list. I would suggest that
you re-post your message with a small sample and without the attachment,
indicating that the file is available for anybody that is interested and
that they should contact you directly."
I have to delete the attachment and resend this. Soooooory!
Thank You,
