Re your question on v4.3 functionality in v4.2, software develops
progressively
and in an evolutionary fashion. v4.2 SP6 has some capabilities that apply in
v4.3 and vice-versa (i.e. database forward- and backward-compatibility as
described
in the Geosoft Technical Connection, Vol. 18 on May 11). SP6 also provided

modifications and 30 bug fixes, and there are work arounds for reported
bugs.
Release of another v4.2 service pack would delay the release of v4.3 for all
users.
The majority of our users receive all service packs, new versions, enhanced
functionality, etc. automatically as part of their maintenance. Please keep
in
mind that the purpose of [geonet] is to provide an open forum for community
problem-solving, brainstorming, and constructive suggestions. If there are
other
specific issues to discuss, your Geosoft representative is there to help.

Are there any bug fixes or functionality improvements in version 4.3

apply to version 4.2? I think many of us do not need the extra bells and
whistles of version 4.3 or simply cannot afford to upgrade but would still
like to receive that for which we have already paid.
Please make a final service pack release for version 4.2.
