We are processing some Geotem data and have used EM Flow to create
conductivity-depth sections, which we have exported into Montaj. We have
about 20 lines and they are oriented approximately NW-SE
For each X,Y and Fid in the Montaj data base we have multiple conductivity
values (viz. a conductivity value for each depth at 5m intervals ranging
from the surface to 400m depth)
We have gridded each line, using the depths as a "pseudo" Y value. We can
then display an image of the conductivity-depth section of each line, with X
along the horizontal axis and depth along the vertical axis.
Then we can digitise a particular "stratigraphic horizon" (in this case a
marked change in conductivity corresponding to a conductive rock unit) along
the length of the line, using a grid file of the depths from 0-400 as the
reference file. The output from this process is a file with X and Depth
coordinates, but no Y.
We want to grid and contour the digitised depth values (stratigraphic
horizon) for all 20 lines. But we cannot figure out how to "merge" the file
of X and Depth values from the digitising with the original line data to
obtain the Y values for each digitised point.
Hope the above is clear.
Can anyone offer any suggestions?
