I seem to be having problems exporting to EMF in the same way the Rick was
having problems with CGM. I also like metafiles for clean copies to
reports and powerpoint, but I keep losing elements. Usually, I lose the
vector info. Most recently, I lost an entire PLT file - which was rather
annoying because that was the only thing in the MAP.
Bitmap type files export just fine, but EMF and CGM just don't work
out. The file is there, but when you import into powerpoint / word / corel
/ photopaint the object is blank.
Is this a bug, or just a problem with my MAPs?

PS You can change the compression features in Adobe to control the size
and quality of the final image. I've found it advantageous to create two
copies of PDF - high res for printing, and low res for general
distribution. The size difference on my last report was 540Mb vs
18Mb. The print shop guys hate me, but the results were great.
