Hi Joe,

You have reasonable control of the colour and font selection for map text. Try
this...

To change all the attributes of text in a group...
-First click the "Select a group" button on the right hand button bar,
-then right click and select the base or data group the contains the text,
-move the cursor into the frame highlighting the perimeter of the group on-screen,
-right click on the mouse again and select "Edit this group",(the frame will now be
marked with hash marks along it's periphery) to enter edit mode,
-move the cursor into the frame and right click again, move to "Select All", the
cursor will change to crossed arrows,
-right click again with the cursor in the frame and click on "Text Attributes",
-a bunch of selections show up in a dialogue box... make your desired changes,
-and press OK, this will change all the text in the group to your selection.
-right-click again and select "End Editing" to exit from edit mode.

If you wish to change individual text attributes in the group then follow this
procedure...
-First click the "Select a group" button on the right hand button bar,
-then right click and select the base or data group the contains the text,
-move the cursor into the frame highlighting the perimeter of the group on-screen,
-right click on the mouse again and select "Edit this group" (the frame will now be
marked with hash marks along it's periphery) to enter edit mode,
-move the cursor over the text to be edited and double click to select it,
-once selected, the text can be moved or edited in the Text line at the bottom of
the screen,
-or, double click on the text to bring up the dialogue box to change attributes,
-press OK, this will change the selected text in the group,
-right-click again and select "End Editing" to exit from edit mode.

It's a bit long winded... but it does work...
