Somewhere between OASIS version 4.1 and now, the mode of operation of
the windowing GX's changed from what I call the "removal" mode to the
"accumulation" mode. I am not sure why, possibly to support something
in the geochem package. The tutorial is still based on the older
versions of the GX's.
Personally, I prefer the "removal" mode for working with Euler
solutions. To make that functional again, I resurrected the old gx
(e3window.gx) and built a modified version of the Euler3D menu
(Euler3E.omn). I don't know if we can send attachments to this
listserve, so I am sending them directly to you. ( I will be happy to
send them to anyone else interested.)
You could modify the Euler3D.omn file but the Software Manager would
choke overtime you update. Just load the Euler3E.omn instead of
Euler3D. Select "Windowing | Old Windowing" to run e3window.gx. All
the other functions are the same.
