Hi Michal,

When modelling mag data, use the GM-SYS 3D Tools/Upward continuation/Draped to
level... option to convert your observations to a level surface above your
highest topo value.

Regards,
Ben

Subject: [geonet] GM-SYS 3D - draped surface calculations

Hello,

For anyone using GM-SYS 3D and performing forward calculations or inversions -
How do you get around the inability to model on draped surfaces?

For example:
The observed field is from a draped surface (the local topography), but the
computed field is from an arbitrary constant surface (normally the highest
topography in the area).
Substracting one from the other creates the GERR grid in forward calculations.
So comparing between apples and oranges, doesn't this result require some
corrections?

Thanks everyone!
Michal
