Hi Becky! With mygeosoft I have the problem that not always what I find helps me. Hence my message.
Yestarday I did find the pdf you indicate, but I can not see how can I use it. On one hand, I have a GMSYS2D models that I would like to convert into a 3D model. On the other hand, I would like to digitize the horizons from geological cross sections and create a grid for each horizon in order to create a 3D model and skip the 2D modelling altogether. From the pdf there is still a doubt: How can I create a 3D section map from a 2D section? Oasis Montaj help does not help me much in that case because it keeps referring to drillholes and databases, which I do not have. I understand the procedure of the geostrings digitization but I am now stuck in how to create the section plot from a 2D GMSYS model and from a 2D geological cross section (that I can easily georeference because I have the coordinates of the origin and end of the profile as well as topography and depth). Thanks for your help, Conxi beckyb <[email protected]> writes: > Hi Conxi, > > If you have a look in the Support Centre on https://my.geosoft.com , you > should find a number of resources related to digitizing. > > There is one in particular that I think you may find helpful: > http://updates.geosoft.com/downloads/files/how-to-guides/Oasis_montaj_Target_Digitize_Interpretations.pdf > > > The thing to remember for digitizing to a geostring file for Wireframing > purposes, is that you can digitize on any map that is properly oriented in > 3D.
