Dear list, I would like to introduce myself. I've been working in the webGIS field since 1998 using Bentley products and then an applet java developed by the cartographic company I worked in. I had some experience in developing mobile applications and car navigation systems. I joined ITHACA in the early 2008 and since then I started to work with open source software: OpenLayers, GeoServer, PostgreSQL, GeoNetwork, Django and so on.
I'm focused on design, user interface and map symbolization. I'm currently working on the ITHACA web site refactoring and designing our webGIS apps, in both cases using the Django infrastructure. I think GeoNode is a great opportunity for us and I'm happy that you share our view.
