Which version of Ubuntu are you using? We've only published packages for Ubuntu Lucid and Maverick (10.04 LTS and 10.10.) I'm not sure the packages are well-tested on later Ubuntu releases, but we do have 1.1-RC2 packages for them. Maybe Ariel can weigh in on what the reasoning was behind the selection of published versions.
